Malibu, CA, United States (4E) – Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt shocked the world after she filed for a divorce and now reports are saying that the actor is okay with her keeping the children for the moment and that she and the kids are undergoing therapy.

According to a source, Jolie is staying strong for their kids as their whole family is struggling to cope with their life after the split. The therapies that they are undergoing is reportedly due to how traumatic the situation has become. Jolie asked for sole physical custody over the kids and that Pitt only be granted visitation rights.

She reportedly requested such because she wanted to protect the safety of their children. Pitt, on the other hand, is okay with it but hopes that it is not permanent. He reportedly wants to keep their children’s interest first before his pride. However, a source said that the actor has been absolutely devastated and heartbroken by the events of the past weeks “both in terms of how those events have been wrongfully portrayed and how they have threatened to jeopardize his family’s ability to heal and move forward.”

Accordingly, Pitt and Jolie split because he became verbally and physically abusive with one of their sons. He was reportedly very drunk during a flight from Paris to New York on their private jet and that was when the altercation took place. This is under investigation now.

The kids have reportedly been watching movies and playing in the pool as they have not left their rental home for days. The children are said to be more used to more activities and more entertainment that is why it has become difficult for them to stay inside their home. The younger children also did not know what was going on.

Jolie secretly rented a home in Malibu for them to stay at until the divorce will be final. Pitt could visit them but only with a therapist present as per the recommendation of Department of Children and Family Services since he is under investigation. He will also reportedly undergo alcohol and drug tests voluntarily and he and Jolie have to undergo separate counseling.
