Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Brad Pitt will be attending his first ever red carpet event since he and estranged wife Angelina Jolie have announced that they were ending their two-year-marriage.
According to reports, Pitt has been avoiding events in the past after the divorce announcement of the two but he has decided to attend the “Allied” premiere in Los Angeles. The 52-year-old actor is said to walk the red carpet in Westwood, California on November 9. An insider said that he is trying to maintain multiple commitments to the film but is expected to not respond to the media.
The red carpet event reports come after Pitt filed for joint custody over their six children, 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax , 11-year-old Zahara , 10-year-old Shiloh, and eight-year-olds Vivienne an Knox.
“Allied” is a World War II spy drama wherein Pitt stars alongside Marion Cotillard , who was rumored to be the reason for the split of Pitt and Angelina. Cotillard debunked the rumors saying that she is pregnant with her husband’s baby.
After Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt, he did not attend the premiere of his film “Voyage of Time” saying that he is focused on his family during the moment. This was because Jolie initially requested for sole custody over their children and Pitt was not allowed to see them until it was decided that he could have therapeutic meetings with his kids.
The divorce allegedly was due to the fact that Pitt got verbally and physically abusive towards Maddox while they were on a plane ride going back to Los Angeles. The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services is still investigating the alleged incident.
“Allied” will be out in theaters this November 23.
