Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – Lifetime released their version of a biopic of Britney Spears and her fans are not happy specifically with the Justin Timberlake sex tape being part of the plot.

The unofficial biopic was called “Britney Ever After” and it premiered over the weekend. Many fans of Spears believe the portrayals were inaccurate. Spears did not give her permission for her story to be made into a biopic by Lifetime so there were no real music in the movie.

Many fans also think the actress, Natasha Bassett, did not look anything like the pop star. Another inaccuracy that fans are pointing out is the scene where allegedly, Spears and Timberlake had a dance-off at a night club. Also, her hot pink wig was made into a blue one for the movie and her denim dress at the 2002 American Awards, which she attended with her ex Timberlake, was turned into a pantsuit.

One fan named Rachel Burke took to Twitter to say, “As a huge britney spears fangirl from way back in the day, this lifetime movie is making me cringe to the max atm . I'm offended for her.” Another said she cannot take the historical inaccuracies of the movie.

“Britney Ever After” also focused mostly on the downfall of Spears career in the mid-2000s and her rise back to fame after her infamous meltdown. The flick also featured an alleged sex tape with Timberlake, which fans did not take likely. Many are saying the story is not true and there was no evidence or proof that the sex tape was made and that it was stolen.

The movie did say in a disclaimer, "Although based on a true story, some characters are fictionalized composites, and some events have been compressed, reorganized or fictionalized for purposes of dramatization."

Lifetime also faced the same backlash in their 2014 biopic entitled “Aaliyah : The Princess of R&B” and the 2015 TV movie for Whitney Houston.
