New York City, NY, United States (4E) – Dr. Luke reportedly is demanding to see the medical records of Kesha in order to disprove the singer’s claims that he committed sexual assault and battery against her.

The 29-year-old pop singer made her claims that she was sexually assaulted by her former producer in a 2014 lawsuit. The 42-year-old producer denied the claims and stands firm with his statement that he never touched her. The reports that Dr. Luke wants to see her medical records comes after Kesha took to the courts to have her contract with him invalidated.

The attorney for Dr. Luke said in a letter to a judge filed in New York City this week says that they are requesting for a resolution for a dispute regarding the assertion of Kesha’s physician-patient and therapist-patient privileges. Under the federal law, a health care provider or health plan covered under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 may share protected health information if a court order will be issued.

The information regarding her medical records aims to clear Dr. Luke of Kesha’s claims that “the continuous and ongoing years of sexual, physical, verbal, and emotional abuse and harassment at the hands of Dr. Luke” took the toll on her resulting to her being forced to seek emergency medical help. This was the time when she entered a rehabilitation treatment center in Illinois in January 2014.

In the lawsuit, the attorneys of Kesha said that her doctors found out that she suffered from psychological effects that were caused by Dr. Luke’s abuse. These psychological effects include severe depression, post-traumatic stress, panic attacks, and social isolation.

In February, a judge denied Kesha’s request for a preliminary injunction that would have allowed her to release music outside of Dr. Luke's authority. A judge said that she could continue to work with the label and Sony without having to directly work with Dr. Luke.
