Drew Barrymore has first interview after split from husband Will Kopelman

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman have ended their nearly three-year marriage and the actress has talked about the split in a new interview.

According to reports, the actress, producer, and director was interviewed by PopSugar and she said that she had a difficult time in the past months that preceded the separation.

She shared with the magazine during the celebration of her newly-released Barrymore Wines Rosé , “I had a really hard time a couple of months ago and kind of knew life was heading in a new direction. I called someone that I really trust, respect, and believe in, because he has always been the conductor of grace. I said, 'What's your advice?' And he said, 'You put one foot in front of the other.' I hung up the phone and I thought, 'That is why I call this person.'” It was unclear who the person was.

In a joint statement to the press, Barrymore and Kopelman said that a divorce might make one feel like a failure but eventually, the find grace in the idea that life goes on. They added that their children are their universe and that they look forward to living the rest of their lives with them as their first priority. The estranged couple shared two children together, three-year-old Frankie and one-year-old Olive.

Barrymore continued to say during the interview that she only cares about her life’s mission now and her daughters. She added, “The only thing that matters as of now is that my daughters know what our lives were like, how we lived, and how much I love them. For them to know that they were not just loved, but, like, ridiculously, utterly, life-alteringly loved. That's the only reason I'm here now!”

It was unclear what the reason of the divorce is.
