Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Amid reports that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have spoken about getting back together after their respective tours end, Hailey Baldwin said in an interview with Marie Claire that dating the “Sorry” singer is difficult.
The model graced the latest edition of the magazine and in her cover interview, she shared about her relationship with Bieber. It could be remembered that the two, who have said in the past that they are just really good friends and there is nothing romantic going on between them, spent a lot of time together during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
At one point, Bieber posted a photo of him and Baldwin locking lips during the New Year’s holidays while they were at their Caribbean getaway. Also, Bieber said in an interview earlier this year that Baldwin is someone he really loves while the model said that they are not dating exclusively.
In the latest interview, the model shared, "I don't want attention out of dating somebody. Texts started coming through, crazy phone calls…it's hard to date somebody in this industry. You have to have really thick skin and be very strong. You have to focus on the person and nothing else."
The 19-year-old added that she is the type of person who lets things slide and push it to the side. However, when she explodes from everything that has been going on, she does it only by herself.
She continued to share, "I've been in situations with friends [when] someone will have said something that really hurt my feelings, so I sit there choking tears back."
Bieber is yet to comment on her statements.
An insider shared that the two are not in the same place as of now due to his touring and her modelling career but they remain to be good friends. The insider noted, "Bieber and Hailey are still close friends, but he is on tour and extremely busy now, so they have not seen each other that much. Bieber and Hailey love each other but have a good understanding where they both stand at the moment."
