Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Hayden Panettiere just announced on Twitter that she was set to go back to rehab in order to deal with her ongoing postpartum depression.
The actress will be entering a rehabilitation center for the second time since giving birth to her daughter back in December 2014. The 26-year-old “Nashville” actress first voluntarily entered a treatment facility last October.
In the past months, Panettiere appeared in different red carpet events and went on different interviews regarding her postpartum depression. Her first public appearance after her first rehabilitation stint was back in January at the Critic’s Choice Awards. The mother-of-one then took to Twitter to explain her decision to go back to the treatment center.
She shared, “The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life. Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!”
In an interview on “Live! With Kelly and Michael” back in September 2015, Panettiere shared that many women experience such depression but they don’t realize how broad of a spectrum can one experience it. She added, “It's something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they're not alone, and that it does heal.”
In an interview with Yaho ! Style earlier this year, Panettiere shared that she was overwhelmed by the amount of love she has received after talking about the depression. She shared that she more open she was, the more acceptance she was able to get from people.
It remains unclear until when Panettiere will be released from the treatment center.
