Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Iggy Azalea has joined the bandwagon regarding the latest album of Beyonce called Lemonade and why she thinks it is not okay for people to refer to her as Becky.

According to reports, there were 1.8 million tweets globally about the visual album of Beyonce, which aired on HBO. Shortly after, the songs from the album were released on Tidal and fans noticed that most of the songs are about relationships, heartbreaks, marital strife, and cheating allegations.

In one of the songs called Sorry, Beyonce sang, "I see them boppers in the corner / They sneaking out the back door / He only want me when I'm not there / He better call Becky with the good hair.” Immediately, the internet went crazy as to figuring out who Becky is and speculations include Rita Ora and designer Rachel Roy.

As for Azalea, her issue with the word Becky is much more different. A fan tweeted calling the Fancy rapper Becky and she replied, “don’t ever call me a Becky.” Accordingly, Becky is a name regarded as a generic description for a white woman with straight hair.

The fiancée of NBA player Nick Young then went on a series of tweets saying that she did not mean that Beyonce is racist. She wrote: “No i dont think Beyonce is racist nor do i think calling someone "BECKY" is the same as a racial slur. I actually like her and the project.” She continued, “BUT, no i dont think its great to use stereotypical names to describe ANY race. I think we can all agree on that.”

The tweets from Iggy Azalea did not stop there as she continued: “This is not bey shade. I love her and the album. but my name is Iggy , and you will all call me that. I don't care, don't call all Asian women "Ming Lee" don't call white women "Becky" don't call black women " Sha Nay Nay".”

Nick Young also reportedly called Iggy Azalea “Becky” in one of his tweets but he claimed that his account was hacked. It remains unclear what the truth is behind the Becky reference in one of his tweets towards his lady love.
