Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Kanye West and Donald Trump met in New York City earlier this week to talk about life but singer John Legend said that he believes the meeting was just for a publicity stunt.

Legend said that he was disappointed of his friend West when he made a trip just to visit Trump. The “All of Me” crooner shared, “I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to (Trump) about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt. I think Kanye was a publicity stunt.” Legend talked about this in an interview with a French outlet called Clique.

Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen , have been friends with West and Kim Kardashian for a long time now. Legend, Teigen , and Kardashian have been strong supporters of Hillary Clinton during her campaign. Legend added that he thinks the president-elect is corrosive and that his message has been damaging the country. He added that Trump’s message being supported by West has disappointed the singer.

West said in a tweet on Tuesday that he was going to meet Trump to talk about issues “included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.” Last month, West also expressed that if he voted for the November 8 elections, he would have voted for the Republican.

After the visit of West to Trump, West took to Twitter to post a photo of a signed Time magazine copy. Trump was named as Person of the Year by Time and in it, Trump wrote, “To Kanye , You are a great friend. Thanks.” The photo also had a signature of Trump.

West has not yet commented on the latest statement of Legend.
