Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Justin Bieber’s GQ cover interview also touched on the meaning behind his tattoos and he talked about this one specific ink, which symbolizes his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, and that he is trying to hide it.

Bieber got inked with the Gomez tattoo back in 2013 and he shared, “This is my ex-girlfriend. I kinda tried to cover her face up with some shading, but people still know.” The tattoo is an image of a woman with angel wings and is located just above his wrist. Gomez and Bieber split back in 2012 but he was spotted with his new ink in April 2013, which was the time that they were rumored to have rekindled their relationship.

The 21-year-old also showed his first ever tattoo, which is a seagull. It was about an inch big and it was in his lower abdomen and he noted that all of the people in his family had that tattoo on their wrists but he did not want it to be visible back then. He also showed a tattoo of Jesus on his left lower leg and also noted that he put it there as he got in when he was 17 and did not want people to know that he had tattoos.

One of his favorite tattoos is the angel wings on his neck. He also showed that the eye tattoo on his left arm is that of his mom’s and the roman numerals near his chest is the birthday of his mother. He also has a tattoo near his rib on the side of his body that he said he and his dad got together.

The “What Do You Mean” crooner also showed a tattoo of a letter G on his right arm and he noted that it’s for a friend who has a daughter named Georgia, who has a brain condition. He shared that he got the tattoo to show that he has his friend’s back and he support him.

Bieber also went on explaining that he has an owl tattoo, which signifies wisdom, and the letter “X,” which he says means unknown. He also showed the “LL” tattoo on his upper arm and he explained, “It stands from when my head's low to lift it up. Just to never keep your head low and just to always look for the better days.”
