Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Nina Agdal are reportedly recovering and doing well after they were involved in a minor car crash at the Hamptons on Saturday.

The 41-year-old actor and the 24-year-old were driving his friend’s car at the time of the crash and an ambulance was called to the scene in order to check the people involved if they had injuries from the crash. Accordingly, the car being driven by DiCaprio crashed with a Mini Cooper.

It remains unclear where DiCaprio and Agdal were headed at the time of the crash. The owner of the Mini Cooper was not identified and it was not clear if any of the passenger or passengers were injured.

The reports about DiCaprio involved in a car crash comes after it was confirmed that he backed out of a pricey fundraiser lunch for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Accordingly, DiCaprio was tapped to host the fundraiser lunch at his Los Angeles home but backed out. Justin Timberlake and his wife, actress Jessica Biel, have then stepped in and will host the event at their home.

Accordingly, DiCaprio had to back out because he was stuck in New York until Wednesday this week. He is said to be finishing a project but details about it remain vague. The fundraising lunch will cost $33,400 per plate.

Clinton campaign spokesman Josh Schwerin said in a statement, “If we could have had the event at his home, we would have loved to. He was gracious enough to find us a new host. We hope to do something with him in the future.”

The crash also comes in the heels of the reports that DiCaprio’s environmental-focused charitable organization, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, was linked to a $3 billion Malaysian embezzlement scheme. The foundation was alleged of receiving donations tied to money stolen from a Malaysian sovereign wealth fund.

DiCaprio and Agdal have been romantically linked since July this year. They have been spotted at the Bahama , Malibu, and Ibiza in the past weeks.
