Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Marion Cottilard has been linked to the divorce of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as the driving force but the actress revealed that she is pregnant and the father is not the aforementioned actor.

Cottilard and Pitt have been working on a movie entitled “Allied” and cheating rumors have swirled since earlier this year. Cottilard took to Instagram to comment on the matter.

Cottilard assured that she is not cheating with Pitt as she and her partner, Guillaume Canet , the father of her first child, are expecting their second baby. She shared that the Instagram post will be the first and the last reaction that she will give about the Brangelina divorce as she has been linked to it. Cottilard said she is not used to commenting on things like that but the situation is affecting the people she loves so she has to speak up.

She continued, "Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need. Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you.” She did not end there as she added, “Finally, I do very much wish that Angelina and Brad, both whom I deeply respect, will find peace in this very tumultuous moment.”

According to previous reports, Jolie hired a private investigator because she felt that her husband was fooling around with Cottilard while on set. The source said that Jolie’s gut feelings were proven so she decided to file for divorce.

Jolie filed for divorce earlier this week and said that they have broken up since September 15, after more than two years of being married. She cited irreconcilable differences and did not ask for child or spousal support from Pitt. She also asked to be granted sole physical custody over their six children and grant Pitt visitation rights.

The manager of Jolie, Geyer Kosinski , said in a astatement , "Angelina will always do what's in the best interest of taking care of her family. She appreciates everyone's understanding of their need for privacy at this time."

Pitt also released a statement saying that he is saddened by the divorce but what matters to them now is their children.

They have not yet commented on Cottilard’s statements.
