Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Miley Cyrus has confirmed on her Instagram account that she will be joining “The Voice” Season 10 and she will be one of the key advisers.
Cyrus took to Instagram to share a photo of her licking the red button from Christina Aguilera’s seat. The “We Can’t Stop” singer wrote the following statement for the caption of the photo: " Lickin @xtina buttonz ! @nbcthevoice # keyadviser # season10 ." It has been reported that Cyrus will be helping in the mentoring of contestants from the teams of Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams.
The key adviser’s role is also to help contestants during the knockout rounds. The other artists who have taken on that role in the past are Taylor Swift, Chris Martin, and Rihanna.
It is unclear if there will be more key advisers for “The Voice” Season 10 as NBC presidents Bob Greenblatt and Paul Telegdy recently said that despite Gwen Stefani not returning as a coach, she will be in the series “in some capacity.” When the network presidents were asked if Stefani will be an adviser for one of the coaches, Greenblatt said it could be a possibility.
Telegdy added, "We're announcing those advisers in the next couple of weeks but she's very close to the show. We'd love to see Gwen back. She's a great friend of this network, we love her, the audience loves her, lots of people love her.” It is unclear who will the other advisers be for this season.
More on Cyrus, 2016 is a busy year or her as she recently signed up for her post-Hannah Montana role. She has partnered with Woody Allen in a new show that will air on Amazon. It’s a T.V. series that has been written by Allen. Cyrus announced on Instagram that she is very “stoked” to be part of Allen’s first T.V. series. The show is set in the past and Cyrus is one of the major characters. Cyrus will be starring alongside Elaine May, 83.
“The Voice” Season 10 will be returning on February 29 at 8 P.M. on NBC.
