Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – The biopic for the most wanted man in the world, Edward Snowden , has released its official trailer and Oliver Stone recently revealed that he has had secret meetings with him to come up with the flick.

According to reports, the film is about America’s most famous fugitive. The flick is entitled “Snowden” and it stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The trailer was posted online by Open Road films this week and the movie is expected to be out in theaters this September.

Snowden became an Army recruit at the age of 20 and joined the CIA at 22. He then became an NSA contractor at 26 and it was when he was tased to find the “terrorist in the Internet haystack.” However, he discovered a secret government surveillance program that tracks everyone’s phone calls, emails, SMS and mostly everything even if they are not put out publicly by the owners.

Gordon-Levitt’s character was asked why he wants to join the CIA and he said that he wants to help his country make a difference in the world. In the next scene, Shailene Woodley , was seen playing the role of Snowden’s girlfriend. Gordon-Levitt was heard telling his girlfriend that he was given a new task but he could not tell her all about it.

At one point, a man he was working with said that the program is like Google search but instead of seeing what people have made public, they also see what people think they are keeping private. Snowden was heard saying that the NSA is really tracking every cell phone in the world and that there is something going on inside the government that is wrong and he cannot ignore it.

For the next part of the sneak peek, the most wanted man goes inside the NSA and downloads the data he has figured out. He then puts the SD card on a Rubik’s cube so as to get through the security. That is where the trouble starts for Snowden and the people he has talked to about what he was able to discover.

He has leaked classified government documents and information to the media. He was charged in 2013 by the U.S. Department of Justice with two counts of violating the Espionage Act and theft of government property. His passport was revoked by the US Department of State and he was granted temporary asylum by Russia in 2014.

Stone also recently revealed in an interview that he has had secret meetings with the most wanted man. He shared that Edward Snowden is articulate and smart and that they have been meeting on and off for a year now. The director also said that the man he based his biopic on stays up all night and is always in touch with the outside world as he is working on a constitution for the Internet with other people.
