Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Richard Simmons has shut himself out from the world and a new report claims this is because he is now living as a woman after transitioning.

The 67-year-old was last seen in public in 2013 during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade making fans speculate that the fitness guru was in trouble. However, he reportedly chose to seclude himself from the rest of the world and is rumored to be trying to live his life as a woman. He is said to have not told even the people closest to him about what was taking place.

An insider shared, “[Richard felt there was] someone trapped inside of him. He had a boob job, and his breasts are like he had been taking hormones to make them grow. He had huge mood swings, too, which we attributed to hormone therapy. [Richard] never really felt comfortable being a man. He felt he was a woman trapped in a man’s body.”

Accordingly, after undergoing the transition, Simmons has been seen out and about more often and has been seen wearing cute new outfits. Simmons was said to be seen in locations like Buenos Aires, Venice, and Miami.

However, the rep of Simmons, Tom Estey , released a statement about the issue. The statement reads: “It's not true. He is not transitioning into a woman. He has decided to live quietly the last few years. He had knee surgery a few years ago and has a bum knee. He is still on Twitter and Facebook and works behind the scenes continuing to inspire and motivate people to lose weight. When he decides to come back, he will come back.”

Estey continued to reveal that the fitness guru was actually in the hospital over the weekend due to dehydration. The rep noted that Simmons deserves his privacy and needed a break from Hollywood.

Simmons took to his Facebook page to thank his fans who have been asking about his health since being hospitalized over the weekend.
