Stabbing suspect killed by police after he injured three in Sunset Boulevard

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – A stabbing suspect was killed by police in Sunset Boulevard at a fast food restaurant after the man injured three people.
The Los Angeles Police said in a statement that the stabbing incident was reported at around 2 P.M. near Sunset Boulevard and Ivar Avenue. Sgt . Barry Montgomery, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department added that when officers arrived at the scene, they saw the man standing outside the fast food called Jack in the Box. The man then went back inside and was shot by police.
The man died at the scene but his identity remains unknown. His motive for attacking the people inside the fast food chain is unclear. The man reportedly ran down Sunset Boulevard and tried to stab people across from the CNN office. CNN was on lockdown for a few minutes.
Initially, the suspect tried to enter a coffee shop. He was armed with a knife but a customer was able to hold the glass door shut and blocked the man.
Two of the victims were found inside the restaurant while another was found outside. Their names were not released. All of them suffered from stab wounds and were taken to area hospitals. Two of them are still in critical condition while one had non-life-threatening injuries.
A video showing some of the victims inside the fast food restaurant surfaced online. In the video, some people attended to a person who was bloodied from the stabbing. A belt was placed around the wounded arm of that person. It could also be heard in the video that people were asking for shoelaces to try and block the blood from coming out as one of the victims was starting to lose a lot of blood from the stabbing incident.
Two ambulances and half dozen police cruisers were deployed at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
