Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Actress and Fox contributor Stacey Dash said in her new book that she shot the man who raped her and it is the main reason why she is pro-gun rights.
Her new book is entitled “There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative.” The book is set for release this June 6 and in it, the 49-year-old actress talked about the man who raped her and abused her. The man is said to be an abusive ex-boyfriend and a stalker.
In the book, the author talked about the time that man showed up at her apartment. It was said to be 25 years ago and a few years before “Clueless” was released. The man reportedly raped her at gunpoint during that time. She added that she was sexually assaulted while her then-baby, son Austin, was sleeping in a nearby bassinet. Her son was from another relationship.
She pointed out that she moved in with a friend after the incident but her ex found her again. She was once again assaulted. She then tried to fight back and was able to ran upstairs and retrieve her .22 revolver.
She continued to reveal, "And so I lifted the gun up to his head and pulled the trigger. It was a tough shot to make, since he was coming up and I was going down. My depth perception was off, and I was so disoriented by fear and anger that I missed. But by this time, I was committed. I wanted to kill him. I pulled the trigger two more times, missing him each time. However, he got the message loud and clear." Due to that, the man never went back and she never dealt with him again.
She added that the reality is that having a dun saved her life and that no one can take that right away from her.
