Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Tia and Tamera Mowry have reunited on “The Real” and made fans nostalgic and remember their show “Sister, Sister,” but the two talked about body shamers instead.
According to reports, Tia was the special guest on “The Real,” which will be airing on Friday, and she talked about the recent cyber-bullying she has experienced due to her fuller size. She shared, "I don't know if any of you guys know, but I was recently attacked for my weight. And I am a size six, I'm proud of what I am." Tamera was also quick to add saying that she is a size eight.
Tia continued to recall the matter saying that one woman called her fat. She added that she knows that the average size in America is a size 12/14 so her being called fat makes that a lot of other women considered as fat. She continued to explain, “And you know, I had ended up putting this screen shot on my Instagram of this women's comment and I had tagged her…”
The 37-year-old also said that the woman was a supporter of an organization that supported African American women. Tia said that she was shocked that the woman would put someone down while working for a company like that.
Tia also shared, "I have to be responsible for what I do and what I say on Instagram , but not only that, it's about social media bullying. And the main reason why I wanted to talk about that and the main reason why I put a spotlight on the topic is because there was a singer Kehlani and you know, Iggy Azalea, they had both come out saying that they wanted to commit suicide because of the internet bullying. And I'm like guys, 'Like, this is a huge problem.'"
Tia was also the center of pregnancy rumors back in December but she slammed them saying that she did gain 10 to 15 pounds and it was due to her Cooking Channel Show “Tia Mowry At Home.”
