Cleveland, OH, United States (4E) – Toni Braxton was reportedly hospitalized in Ohio due to another complication regarding her lupus diagnosis resulting in the postponement of her concert.
The R&B veteran’s official Twitter account sent out a number of tweets over the weekend to talk about her health. The first tweet reads: “Toni Braxton was hospitalized this afternoon in Cleveland due to complications with her Lupus. Unfortunately her show tonight in Cleveland will need to be postponed. Lupus needs to be constantly monitored and this minor setback should not affect the rest of her tour.”
The announcement also said that the postponed concert will be honored at the re-scheduled date. No details about when the re-scheduling will take place but it will reportedly be announced shortly.
Braxton was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease in 2010. Her spokeswoman, Maureen O’Connor responded recently to the reports that she was hospitalized and has gotten home after spending a few days at a Los Angeles hospital.
O’Connor shared that Braxton is resting at home and his fine and that the singer was not in serious condition but pointed out that the disease should be monitored at all times.
After the hospitalization reports earlier this year, Braxton said in a statement, "I am so excited about going back on the road and seeing all of my wonderful fans and friends. Everyone's life is complicated and this is just a condition that I live with. Even if I can't perform, I still figure it out. Sometimes I look back [at] that evening [and] I go, 'How did I get through that?'"
As for her latest hospitalization, she reportedly stayed there for four days but this was not confirmed yet.
“The Hits” tour is ongoing all over the United States and before the hospitalization reports, she performed in Kansas City with Birdman on Friday evening.
