Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Tyra Banks has shared on Instagram the first ever photo of her baby York and noted that he made her Valentine’s Day this year the happiest.
The model and the “America’s Next Top Model” host posted the photo on Sunday and it showed her and her baby all wrapped up. She held her baby, York Banks Asla , close to her chest as they snuggle in a blanket. She captioned the photo with the words: "This is the Happiest Valentine's Day of my life. York, Daddy @erikasla and I send you so much love."
Her boyfriend, Erik Asla , also posted the same photo on his Instagram captioning it with a simple “Mother and Son.”
The 42-year-old model announced the arrival of their baby. Banks shared that York was born via a surrogate. She made the announcement on Instagram by posting an item of clothing of her newborn baby, specifically a bonnet, and wrote: “The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone.”
Asla posted the same photo and captioned it with a statement regarding “witnessing the dawn of life.”
In a recent interview, Banks revealed that she and Asla’s quest to have a baby was not an easy process. Also, Banks talked about fertility struggles on the show “FABLife” when model and co-host Chrissy Teigen talked about her own setbacks with being pregnant.
Banks said back then, "Why am I crying? You just have no idea what people are going through, so when you ask Chrissy [why don't you have kids] or me that or anybody that, it is none of your frigging business, okay?"
Weeks after the emotional “FABLife” episode, Teigen announced that she and husband John Legend are pregnant and months after, Banks revealed having her baby with Asla via a surrogate.
