Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Vanessa Hudgens has posted a photo on Instagram to let her fans know that she is grieving the loss of her father.

A week after her father, Greg Hudgens, passed away, after his long battle with cancer, Vanessa posted a photo on her social media account. A photo in black and white bore the words: "I wish heaven had visiting hours,” and the “High School Musical” alum added in the caption “If only…” The photo was posted both on Instagram and Twitter.

The latest post of Vanessa comes after the actress posted about her “Grease: Live” performance. Vanessa played the role of Rizzo on the production and her live performance just hours after her father’s death has inspired millions of viewers.

Hours before the performance, Vanessa took to Twitter to say: "I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers." She followed it up with another tweet saying that her performance that night for “Grease: Live” will be done in her father’s honor.

Vanessa has performed songs such as "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee,” "There Are Worst Things I Could Do,” and more. She has gained a lot of praises for her work in the live production. The 27-year-old also took to Instagram to post a photo of her performing and wrote alongside it: "I can't believe @GoGrease is OVER! Grand opening and grand closing. Thank you to everyone who watched & supported me last night. Doing # GreaseLive was one of the most incredible experiences and I'm so glad you guys liked it as much as I did. Till next time Rizz # PinkLadyForLive ."

At this time of grief, Vanessa is said to be supported by her boyfriend, 24-year-old Austin Butler. An insider shared that Butler is offering his shoulder to cry on to his girlfriend as he also went through the same thing when his mother died of cancer back in 2014.
