Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – The father of Angelina Jolie and Oscar winner, Jon Voight , has expressed his support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The 77-year-old appeared on Breitbart News and he said, “I'm not someone who's saying he's the best of this group. I'm saying I like this guy. He's an answer to our problems. We need to get behind him. The Republicans need to unite behind this man. We need somebody to go in and reconstruct us in a sort of way, get us back to where we were, who we need to be.”
Voight noted that that Trump is honest despite him being funny, playful, and colorful. He added that when the business mogul decided to run for president, he did it with a true conviction to change the nation. Voight added, "He is the only one who can do it. No frills, no fuss, only candid truths."
He continued to claim that Republicans are fighting to keep Trump from winning because they are scared that people will discover the “bull most politicians spew” is just for their own cause and benefit and not for the people. Voight said that the politicians not wanting Trump to win never dreamed that they will be losing control.
He noted that people opposing Trump is not right as they make it seem like he is a danger to the country. He added, “He’s a patriot, and the people are responding because they know it’s exactly what has to happen. Somebody has got to get in there and clean it out — even take the paint off.”
Voight also shared, "I pray all Americans who have seen and felt the meltdown of America with the Obama years, to please fight for Donald Trump."
Voight has also endorsed Mitt Romney when he decided to run for the 2012 presidential bid.
