Miami, FL, United States (4E) – Antonio Banderas said that he is focused on reinventing himself as his life has changed since his divorce from former wife Melanie Griffith as he shared in a new interview that the separation also shocked him.
Banderas was interviewed by E! News and he shared that his life changed very much during the last two years noting that they have been crucial due to personal reasons. He added that the “possibility of reinventing myself was there, and so I said probably this is the moment that I can do this.”
Accordingly, what he meant by reinventing himself was learning from his children regarding his venture into the fashion industry. Banderas was actually introduced as the honorary President of Miami Fashion Week earlier this June. He shared that his kids are not that obedient but he learned a lot from them. He continued to reveal that he learned most from his daughter Stella.
He shared, “I saw her coming home with a bunch of her friends and they were all in the same style, so it's a tendency. Everybody's going there for some reason. It's very interesting how people, we all, react to tendencies.”
Griffith and Banderas announced their divorce in June of 2014 by releasing a joint statement. They said that they have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize their two-decade old marriage in a friendly manner.
True enough, the former couple remains amicable. They reunited for the graduation of their daughter Stella just last summer and even posted for photos.
More on the Miami Fashion Week, the 55-year-old actor shared during a press conference that he feels the event will be the signature fashion occurrence in the United States noting that Miami is “very related to fashion.”
Designers who will be showcasing their creations for the June 2-5 event are Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Aguaclara , Alvarno , Ana Maria Guiulfo , Andres Sarda , Claudia Bertolero , Custo , Rene Ruiz, and Yirko . Musical performances by Jencarlos Canela as well as Prince Royce will also be featured.
