Artist Soulja Boy arrested for violating parole

Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – Rapper Soulja Boy was arrested on Thursday morning at his Hollywood Hills home after he reportedly violated his parole.
According to the parole conditions, he is not allowed to have a gun in his home but he reportedly had one. The rapper, who is also known as DeAndre Cortez Way, his real name, was arrested at around 7 A.M. Officers first searched the home of Soulja Boy. A Crime Stoppers tip reportedly led police officials to search the home and eventually find a firearm and arrest the 26-year-old. The tip claimed that Soulja boy has been threatening people online with weapons, specifically guns.
In 2014, Soulja Boy, best known for his hits “Crank That” and “Turn My Swag On,” was arrested for suspicion of possessing a loaded gun while at Granada Hills, California. Allegedly, he was with another person when they drove past a stop sign. Officers then stopped the vehicle and found out that Soulja Boy was a passenger. The driver was booked for driving without a license while Soulja Boy was taken in custody. He was released after via a $35,000 bail.
In the case, Soulja Boy took a plea deal and it then resulted to 24 months of probation. He was then barred from owning a firearm. He is now being held without bail.
The rapper is also facing a lawsuit over an Instagram video as he threatened a man while waving a gun.
He or his representatives have not released any statement regarding the matter.
