Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Ben Affleck has now commented on the Vanity Fair interview of his estranged wife Jennifer Garner, who talked about their divorce and their split.
According to reports, Affleck has spoken about Garner’s interview publicly for the first time when he was asked by the publication The New York Times. He pointed out that he and Garner are on great terms despite deciding to end their marriage and that his former partner is a great person.
Affleck originally talked to The New York Times for “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and initially did not want to talk about his family or Garner as he felt like it will end up “being in the record somewhere, in the great miasma of junk on the Internet.”
He then shared about Garner’s Vanity Fair interview, “She felt like she wanted to discuss it and get it out there and get it over with, so she could say, ‘Look, I already talked about it — I don’t want to do it again.’” He added that for him, it was fine that Garner opened up about it as she is also allowed to talk about it.
The 43-year-old actor also revealed, "Jen's great. She's a great person. We're on great terms. I just saw her this morning, so that's the reality that I live in."
He then proceeded to talk about his role in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” noting that his four-year-old son Samuel knows that he is Batman. He shared that being the character is a mixed blessing then continued to say about his son Samuel, “He also thinks that for some reason—I don't know if it's the color combination or whatever—that the FedEx guy is the Joker. Whenever there's a FedEx delivery, he's like, 'Dad, the Joker's outside. The burden's on me to go out there and give the guy an extra 20 bucks to pantomime a whole Adam West kung fu battle.”
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be out in theaters this March 25.
