Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – The groundbreaking Netflix show “13 Reasons Why,” which recently ended its first season run and is gearing for season 2, focused on suicide and actress Candace Cameron Bure revealed the reason why she is watching the series.

Bure and her kids reportedly watched parts of the series and she is supportive of the show. She shared, "I'm really enjoying it. I think it's great, it's well done, it's a great conversation piece with my kids. I was a parent that got the e-mail from my kid’s high school saying the show is out there and be sure to have a conversation with your kids if they chose to watch it. They did watch it so as soon as I finish it, we will have a chat."

The Netflix show was executively produced by singer Selena Gomez. It was based on the 2007 novel by Jay Asher.

Some mental health professionals commented on the show. The latest professionals are from the mental health organization called Kim Foundation in Omaha. The administration director of the organization, Julia Hebenstreit, said that the show addressed the important issues that high schoolers face such as drug use, drinking, bullying, sexual assault and sometimes the end result of all these is suicide.

Although the show was able to show some of the most common problems teens face, Hebenstreit said, “These are troubling details because it can be triggering for vulnerable people who are suffering silently. And it can be traumatic for people who are recovering from similar experiences.” It is unclear what the plot of “13 Reasons Why” season 2 will be about.

More on Bure, she is currently busy promoting her newest flick titled “A Bundle of Trouble: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery.” It will be out this Sunday and centers on the story of Aurora, played by Bure, and her boyfriend Martin. Martin’s niece unexpectedly pays them a visit and she has her new baby in tow. His niece disappears and the baby is left with Aurora and Martin.

“A Bundle of Trouble: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery” will premier this Sunday on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
