Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – “Magic Mike” actor Channing Tatum has reportedly been tapped to join the sequel of the movie “Kingsmen” entitled “Kingsmen : The Golden Circle.”
According to reports, Tatum tweeted about the news. He will be working with Matthew Vaughn, who also directed the first action-spy hit, which was released in 2014. Tatum wrote alongside a promo photo for the movie: “I'm about to get all up in that Golden Circle. #Kingsman.”
The movie centers on Colin Firth, a 007-like secret agent in London. He recruits a working-class kid to join a badass and intense training camp. It remains unclear, however, what Tatum will be playing. It is unknown if he will be one of the spies or is a villain.
Taron Eagorton , who is the recruited working-class kid, will be reprising his role. He has been seen in movies like “Eddie the Eagle” and “Billionaire Boys Club” alongside Ansel Elgort , Emma Roberts, and Kevin Spacey . He is also rumored to play the young Han Solo.
As for the female characters, both Julianne Moore and Halle Berry were tapped. Moore is said to be the lead villain while Berry will be the head of the CIA.
Elton John is also rumored to be joining the production of the sequel but his role is still under wraps.
