Dallas, TX, United States (4E) – Charlie Puth was performing in Dallas last Friday evening and he said “f**k you Justin Bieber” while he was in the middle of performing his song “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” which Selena Gomez is featured.
According to a video that circulated online, Puth first sang the lyrics to the song: “Don’t wanna know what dress you’re wearing tonight/ If he’s holdin’ onto you so tight/ The way I did before/ I overdosed/ Shoulda known your love was a game/ Now I can’t get you out of my brain.” After that stanza, he dropped the f bomb and dissed Bieber.
However, Puth apologized via his Twitter account regarding the incident. Hours after, the 24-year-old posted a series of tweets saying that what he said at the concert in Dallas about the “What Do You Mean” singer was meant to be a joke. Puth continued, "However…That way it was said mid song did not sound like one. I am a massive @JustinBieber fan and I have nothing but great things to say about him and his music always."
The representative of Puth has not commented on the issue when reached for a comment. Bieber, also, has not yet commented on the supposed diss of Puth .
Despite Puth’s apologies on Twitter, an insider said that the song “We Don’t Talk Anymore” was not written about Gomez and Bieber’s relationship in the past but when she told him about the “Sorry” singer, Puth thought that the song seemed to “fit perfectly.”
The insider added, “He has since seen that the song is basically all about everything Justin and Selena went through. The dress line in the duet is a reference to ‘Good For You’ as well to add some more smoke to the fire. All the things that she told Charlie in the collaboration process about Justin really stuck, and Charlie is siding with Selena’s part of the story.”
The source added that Puth never liked Bieber and he does not like how he played games when he was still with Gomez.
Puth , Gomez, and Bieber are yet to comment on the validity of the insider’s statements.
