Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Model Cheryl Tiegs has given her comments on the latest issue of Sports Illustrated where Ashely Graham, a plus-sized model, is one of the three females featured.

According to reports, Sports Illustrated photographed Ronda Rousey , Ashley Graham, and Hailey Clauson to be part of the covers for their latest issue to show that they support female empowerment.

However, Tiegs , who has been featured in the cover of the magazine numerous times in the past, does not agree that Graham was part of the latest issue. Tiegs was at the red carpet of the 13th Annual Global Green USA Pre-Oscar Party and when she was interviewed about it, she said, "I don't like that we're talking about full-figured women because it's glamorizing them because your waist should be smaller than 35 [inches]. That's what Dr. Ozsaid , and I'm sticking to it."

She pointed out that she does not think Graham is healthy although she did say that the model has a beautiful face. She noted, “But I don't think it's healthy in the long run.”

On the cover, Graham wear a purple and yellow-string bikini as she posed in the ocean. Graham said in her interviews before that she hates to be called “plus-size.” She added, "I've got plenty of friends [of all sizes] and different shapes and everything. And I don't want any of them to feel like they aren't 'real women.'"

Graham also shared in the past that she has had struggles in her career as she realized that she had to accept herself first before the modeling industry would. She shared, "I had agents tell me, 'You'll never get on the cover of magazines. You'll never be an editorial model.' I had agents wave money in my face and say, 'If you drop some pounds, you can have a lot more of this!' And not even THAT was something that encouraged me to lose weight!"

Graham also took to her Instagram account to talk about how thrilled she is to be part of Sports Illustrated noting that it is her dream come true. She is yet to comment on the statements of Tiegs .
