Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz have been best friends for years now and it has been recently revealed in the April issue of Marie Claire that the mother of two calls her “Charlie’s Angels” co-star “Poo Poo.”
Barrymore and Diaz have both been on the 2000 reboot of “Charlie’s Angels” but the two have actually known each other for years before being famous. Barrymore shared, "I've known Poo Poo [Cameron Diaz] since I was 14 years old. We just happened to know each other before her career started, and I was working in a coffeehouse trying to refigure out my life."
The best friends have since remained close when they met at the coffeehouse. Barrymore did not go into detail as to why she calls Diaz as Poo Poo . The two also worked together for the sequel of “Charlie’s Angels” which was entitled “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.” Barrymore was also one of Diaz’s bridesmaids when she married Benji Madden last January 2015.
Aside from talking about Diaz, Barrymore also talked about her two children, Olive, 3, and Frankie, who is turning two. She shared, "I went to parent's night, and I wore some lipstick and concealer, and I thought the people at school looked at me kind of differently. I normally come with acne, and Ugg boots, and I thought they were like, 'Oh That's nice, she made a little bit of an effort.'"
Barrymore continued to say that motherhood is an emotional roller coaster as moms care so much about how to be the best and the perfect mother. She continued, “Even though there's no such thing as perfection, you expect that of yourself.”
Barrymore is not only an actress as she founded her own production company in 2005, made her directorial debut in 2009, and is now an author as well as has created her brand Flower which is about beauty, makeup, fragrance, and sunglasses.
She shared, "I really had to tell myself, You can do everything, but you will have to do them at different moments. And you can do a lot in the same moment, but you can't do everything in the same moment. It was a good lesson that you will just have to prioritize and put some things over here for a little while."
The April issue of Marie Claire will be out on newsstands this March 22.
