Orlando, FL, United States (4E) – Matthew Lewis, the actor who played Neville Longbottom in the “Harry Potter” franchise, got engaged to his girlfriend Angela Jones, multiple reports have confirmed.
The 27-year-old actor reportedly asked Jones’ hand in marriage in November. In an Instagram photo, it appears that the actor proposed at the Eiffel Tower in Paris because they posed in front of the famous landmark and Jones was seen showing off the ring. It is unclear when in November they got engaged as Jones was also seen wearing the ring while they attended the 2016 ATP World Finals last November 13.
Days before the engagement, the two were in Orlando to meet with “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown.
Lewis and Jones reportedly first met each other in January during an event at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Jones is an event planner at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The two then began their whirlwind romance in July. The two also started dating shortly after Jones divorced her first husband.
Lewis is not the only “Harry Potter” star who has decided to tie the knot this year. In May, Freddie Stroma , who played Cormac McLaggen in the franchise, popped the question to his “UnREAL” co-star, Johanna Braddy . Last year, Scarlett Byrne, who played Pansy Parkinson, got engaged to Playboyf ounder Hugh Hefner's son Cooper Hefner.
Lewis and Jones are yet to confirm the engagement reports.
