Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Fifty-two-year-old TV personality Hoda Kotb just revealed she adopted a baby girl and calls her newborn baby the love of her life after she overcame breast cancer.

The “Today” show host, who is the face of the fourth hour of the show together with Kathie Lee Gifford, announced the arrival of their new baby on Tuesday. She announced it via a phone call and a photo of her with her newborn baby was flashed on the screen making her co-hosts feel happy for her.

She also revealed the name of her baby is Haley Joy because she brings her and her boyfriend joy. Kotb said she named the baby Haley because of Halley’s Comet. Kotb added, "She's a Valentine's baby. She is the love of my life."

Kotb and her longtime boyfriend, financier Joel Schiffman, took a selfie to show their appreciation for caffeine since their baby girl arrived. The two moved in together in 2016 after dating for three years. She revealed it was a bit weird to be in her 50s and they talked about moving in. She joked she is concerned for her boyfriend since she hasn’t lived with anyone for a long time. Kotb also said she was afraid to tell her mother that she and her boyfriend were getting an apartment together.

As for her breast cancer battle, she said she did not want to be known as the girl with cancer so she used her situation to help others. She was diagnosed in 2007 and undergoing the treatment in order to beat breast cancer made her ability to bear her own children stripped off.

She was once married to Burzis Kanga. He is a former tennis coach for the University of New Orleans. They were married from 2005 to 2007. After a number of years from her divorce, Kotb met and dated lawyer Jay Blumenkopf. They dated for two years and called it quits. She then met her longtime boyfriend after dating the lawyer.
