Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to Instagram and Facebook earlier this month to diss his male co-stars in the movie “Fast 8” and Jason Statham recently commented on the matter in a new interview.
According to reports, the feud was mainly between Johnson and Vin Diesel. Diesel recently praised Johnson on his work on the “Fast and Furious” franchise to probably signal all is good between them but Johnson only commended Helen Mirren and Scott Eastwood’s work. The cast basically promoted their film regarding “Fast 8” and they began posting messages on social media about wrapping up the filming. The Rock thanked most of them but did not mention Diesel.
When asked if he was team Diesel or team Johnson, Statham said while promoting his new film “Mechanic: Ressurection ,” that he is good with both the actors. He added, "We're good pals, and if [Johnson's] got any problem with me then he'd probably tell me to my face. So I'm good with them."
The “Fast 8” Facebook page also posted a message to post a tribute to the cast. The statement started off with, “Thank you Vin, who has been at the wheel since this journey began, first as star and then as producer…And thanks to all of the cast of the eighth Fast: Michelle, who's also been with us from the start. Those who've joined our family along the way: Tyrese and Chris from Miami in our second film; Dwayne and Elsa, who came on board in Rio in movie five.”
The post went on to thank Statham in the latest installment and their newest members, Charlize Theron, Eastwood, and Mirren . The post ended by thanking Paul Walker, who passed away years ago while in the middle of filming “Furious 7.” He got killed in a car accident.
Johnson and Diesel are yet to comment on Stateham’s statements.
