Irwindale, CA, United States (4E) – Jay Leno was filming an episode for his new show “Jay Leno’s Garage” but the car tumbled and crashed resulting to medics being summoned at the scene at the Irwin Speedway in Irwindale , California.
Leno was in the car with stunt driver Bob Riggle during that time. The comedian and car collector was testing a ride in a Hemi Under Glass. At first, the drive was okay as there were a few stunts performed by Riggle . However, when Riggle tried to drift, the car started to tumble many times.
In the camera from the inside of the vehicle, the two men were seen struggling to gain their balance after the harrowing incident. The two asked each other if they were okay. They were not injured during the ordeal. Before the two started the car, Leon was heard saying, "2,500 horsepower on two wheels. What could go wrong?"
A man from the standby medical staff went rushing to where the two men were. The man started asking Riggle some questions. When it was Leno’s turn, he mimicked what Riggle said and it was obvious that despite being shaken about the crash, he was back at joking again.
Accordingly, riding in a stunt car with Riggle has been on Leno’s bucket list since he was a kid. While exiting the vehicle, Leno was heard saying, "Oh yeah, I'm fine. It doesn't get any more exciting than that."
This was Riggle’s second crash in the five decades he has been behind the wheel of the Hemi Under Glass stunt car.
“Jay Leno’s Garage” will start airing this Wednesday on CNBC at 10 P.M.
