Jennifer Lopez addresses Mariah Carey feud

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey have been rumored to be feuding for years after the “Emotions” singer said that she did not know the “Booty” songstress back in early 2000s .
Carey was asked about Lopez back then and she said “I don’t know her.” The infamous statement by Carey has become an undying topic and when Lopez appeared this week on “The Wendy Williams Show,” she talked about the issue.
Williams first talked about Lopez’s Las Vegas residency, in which Carey, Britney Spears, and Celine Dion are also part of. Williams asked Lopez if she checked out her “competition” before being part of the Las Vegas residency and Lopez said that she actually checked out a couple of performers.
Lopez shared, "[The residency] was a dream. When I think of Vegas, I think of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley and iconic performers. Before I even signed my deal to go to Vegas, when they were offering it to me, I went and saw a bunch of shows. I saw everybody. I saw Britney [Spears], I saw Shania [Twain]."
She continued to say that she did not see Carey that time because she has not started her residency yet and Williams asked “Who?” Before adding, “No, I'm playing. That's what Mariah said about Jennifer one time.”
Lopez then commented and laughed it off saying, "She does say that. She's forgetful I guess! We've met many times. I don't know…I don't know her that well."
The “Shades of Blue” actress also addressed the supposed Carey feud during her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” earlier this week. Andy Cohen, the host of the show, asked Lopez why she still has not made it to the Las Vegas show of Carey and she said, "I think last year when it started, I was already here in New York filming 'Shades of Blue' and doing 'Idol' on the weekends — didn't have a lot of time. Then I started preparing my own. I don't think there's been a time when I could have seen it."
Lopez also noted that there is no feud between her and Carey.
This is not the first time that Lopez talked about it as back in 2014, also during “Watch What Happens Live,” Lopez said that she read the things that Carey reportedly said about her. Lopez noted that she and Carey do not know each other and they have never met.
