Joe Giudice says goodbye to family for prison stint

Trenton, NJ, United States (4E) – Joe Giudice is reportedly preparing for his departure from his family as he is set to go behind bars for 41 months.
This comes months after his wife Teresa Giudice served her prison sentence. According to reports, 43-year-old Joe is making sure he is showered with love by his family and friends before he goes away. He reportedly spent some quality time with the people closes to him such as his daughters via a going away party.
The loved ones of Joe is said to have gathered in New Jersey on March 21. The soiree was reportedly bitter sweet as they all wanted to make Joe’s night memorable despite knowing the fact that he will be behind bars for a long time. A buffet was served, music was playing, and a mechanical bull was said to be present during the going away party.
The party was held at Blu Alehouse in Riverdale, New Jersey, which is owned by John Harms, a friend of the Giudice family. Harms said in a statement that the going away party was a special night adding, “It was amazing, as perfect as I would have wanted it. It was just family and true friends…Teresa and the girls were there, obviously. Joe’s mom and his sisters and brothers and aunts and uncles. It was a family reunion.”
Harms continued to dish that there were around 150 people and the restaurant was packed. Some of the visitors reportedly gave toasts and Joe asked them to stop making him cry and even joked that he was not going to the electric chair. Harms added, "Tonight is about family. Joe's spending it with his wife and kids."
Joe is serving time behind bars for being convicted of bankruptcy fraud and failure to file income tax returns.
