Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – John Mayer and Taylor Swift did not have a great relationship as the two remain to throw shade at each other and the latest incident is the singer bashing December 13, the birthday of the “Shake It Off” songstress, calling it the lamest day.
Mayer took to Twitter on Tuesday to say the following, “Tuesday, December 13 may be the lamest day of the year, conceptually.” He then deleted the tweet 10 minutes later making the fans of Swift wonder if he was pertaining to the birthday of the “Blank Space” singer.
He then reacted to the tweets of Swift’s fans. He said, “NOPE. No. Nuh-uh . People I am 39. I am deleting those tweets. Come right at me for doing so. Absolutely no shade.” Swift recently celebrated her 27th birthday when Mayer tweeted about the specific date.
A day after, it seems that the fans of Swift are not convinced that Mayer did not mean anything with his tweet. Mayer the posted another tweet that reads: “Looks like I shouldn’t have deleted this tweet…” Swift has not yet commented on this.
Mayer and Swift dated back in 2009 but things did not turn out well for them and their relationship ended publicly. Swift then released a diss track called “Dear John.” Two years after that song was released, Mayer said that he felt humiliated by the song noting that he did not deserve it. He called Swift out about writing about him saying that it was a really lousy thing for the ex of Calvin Harris to do.
