‘Jurassic World 2’ will see Justice Smith, actor gets casted as young scientist

Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – “The Get Down” lead star Justice Smith has been casted to be part of “Jurassic World 2” and according to reports, the young actor will be playing the role of a scientist.

For the second installment, original cast members Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be reprising their roles. Aside from Smith, two more stars were recently casted and they are Rafe Spall and Toby Jones.

More on Smith, he is the star in the Netflix original series “The Get Down.” The series is about a group of teenagers back in the 70s in the Bronx. He played the role of Ezekiel and he also appeared on the movie “Paper Towns.”

Another project that Smith is working on is the off-Broadway play called “Yen.” The previews will start on January 12 until January 30. He will be working alongside Lucas Hedges at the MCC Theater.

There are no other details about Smith’s role in “Jurassic World 2” but it was reported that the preproduction has started in England. J.A. Bayona , the director of “A Monster Calls” will be directing “Jurassic World 2.” The first installment of the franchise was directed by Colin Trevorrow but for the sequel, he will be writing the script alongside Derek Connolly.

“Jurassic World” was a reboot of the 1993 hit “Jurassic Park.” The Steven Spielberg movie was then based on the novel of Michael Crichton . “Jurassic World” was well-received by the audiences as it has earned $1.67 billion when it was released last year.

The producers of “Jurassic World” are Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley. Belen Atienza , Spielberg and Trevorrow will also be giving a hand in the production.
