Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Amid the investigation of the Orlando, Florida mass shooting, Kacey Musgraves took to Twitter to sound off on having guns to protect one’s self. Her choice of words was considered insensitive and offensive to some, however.

The country music artist has been very vocal in the past for her support for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transsexual ( LGBT ) community in the past but her latest pro-gun tweet did not sit well even with the people supporting the aforementioned minority group.

The tweet of Musgrave came after the tragic Orlando shooting at a popular gay club in the area called Pulse. The shooting killed 50 and injured more than 50, 20 of which are still in the hospital and some are still in the ICU due to their injuries. The shooting came hours before the Gay Pride parade took place worldwide. The shooter, identified as 29-year-old Omar Mateen , was killed at the scene.

Musgrave first tweeted this: “Crying as I read about Orlando. I can't believe it. I don't understand. And especially at such a happy place!? Feeling sick.” However, the follow-up tweet was what sparked outrage as the 27-year-old said people should go back to saloon days where every “muthafucka is carryin a revolver and anyone walkin in to disturb the peace might maybe think twice.”

The post has since been deleted after many have commented saying that her idea is idiotic and that more violence is never the answer.

She then tweeted another saying that emotions are high today and there are a lot of opinions regarding the deadliest shooting in the U.S. history. She ended her series of tweets by saying that all she knows is that something is not working and “I love y'all and my true intent is peaceful.”

Another who begged for stricter gun laws is Kim Kardashian . Adele also broke down in tears after the massacre while she was performing.
