Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Kendall Jenner has remained silent since the release of the Pepsi commercial she starred in that caused backlash from many people all over the world and sources are claiming she is not happy about the blow-up and is leaning on her family for support during this ordeal.

The 21-year-old model is planning to lie low in the coming days or weeks until things calm down. An insider said over the weekend, “She still talks about it a lot and has support from her family. She is spending a quiet weekend with her family. She has been very upset. She feels terrible. She loves being a model. To get a Pepsi gig was a big deal. She was very excited. She never expected it to receive such backlash. She hopes people understand that she wasn’t involved in the creative process.”

Source said last week that Jenner was actually enthusiastic about the concept of the commercial. In the advertisement, she was seen modelling during a photoshoot when she saw a crowd gathering towards a number of policemen. She then decided to join the crowd and handed a Pepsi to one of the policemen. After that part of the ad, the crowd cheers about the policeman accepting their offer. Pepsi is believed to have implied that giving police a can of their product will solve the nationwide problem today, which is police violence.

Another insider said Jenner loves modeling and just wanted to be a good job. She did not want to take part of something that will be controversial and that her mother, Kris, is thinking of ways to deal with it.

The ad was titled “Live for Now Moments Anthem” and Bob Marley’s song was on the background. Pepsi said they just wanted to come up with a positive ad and did not mean to offend anyone. They took the ad down and halted any further releases related to their ad. They also apologized to Jenner.
