Kesha gets $250,000 donation from Taylor Swift after legal turmoil

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Days after a judge has not granted Kesha the freedom she is asking from her signed contract with Sony and musical producer Dr. Luke, Taylor Swift reportedly gave her a $250,000 donation.
Kesha has filed an injunction last August requesting to be released from her contract with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records as she alleges that he sexually and emotionally abused her. The singer claims that she suffered “sexual and drug-related assault” and that he has been “tyrannical and abusive” towards her in their relationship. The music producer has denied these claims.
The judge also ruled that Kesha would continue recording music with Sony and the label and she does not have to have any contact or communication with Dr. Luke. The judge said, "As the Court recognized, Ms. Sebert [ Kesha ] has always had the ability to proceed with her career if she so chooses."
A lawyer for Dr. Luke said in a statement that they are confident that after all the facts are presented, the allegations of Kesha against their client will be seen as “completely false” and that it will be apparent that the singer just wants to extort money from him.
The hashtag “# FreeKesha” has been trending on Twitter since the ruling was announced. Other stars such as Lady Gaga, Lorde , Demi Lovato , Iggy Azalea, Kelly Clarkson, Sara Bareilles, and many more took to Twitter to show their support for the singer.
According to a series of tweets from Kesha’s mother, Swift is the latest artist to show her support for Kesha . The tweets read: “Taylor Swift has just generously donated $250,000. to Kesha , as a show of support during this difficult time.AMAZING!!” The singer’s mother added, “A persons wealth is not measured by what they have but by WHO they they help with it. And Taylor Swift is is a truly RICH PERSON.”
A representative for Swift has commented and confirmed saying that the donation to Kesha is to help with any of her “financial needs” during her ordeal.
