Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Khloe Kardashian wrote an essay for Lena Dunham’s Lenny newsletter and the reality star talked about her Christian faith noting that she does not believe in divorce but she will have to go through with the process over her estranged husband, Lamar Odom.
Kardashian shared in the essay the reason why she left Odom back in 2013 after four years of marriage. She said that it was a challenge for her when she decided to get divorced. However, she has postponed the proceedings for the divorce after her estranged husband was hospitalized due to drug overdose back in October 2015.
She wrote, "At my core, I don't believe in divorce. But I came to a point in my marriage where I had to make the choice to take care of my own mental and emotional well-being in order to protect myself and my happiness. I am at peace with that decision and do feel like I honored my vows to the very end.”
The reality star continued to say that she continues to honor the vows that she has made in front of God although her relationship with Odom is in a different place.
The former host of “Kocktails With Khloe” also said that she has always been very spiritual and that she believes in a high power guiding her to make the right decisions. She continued to say that she believes there is heaven and hell but she does not judge people for what they believe in.
Kardashian did say, however, that she was bitter and angry with God when her father died in 2003 after losing his battle with cancer. She shared, "My relationship with spirituality has changed over the years, but I've never stopped believing. I enjoy going to church, I just haven't found a church that I'm passionate about, where I fit in."
It remains unclear when Kardashian decides to push through with her divorce from Odom.
