Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – The awards season next year is expected to have a lot of interesting nominations as “Manchester by the Sea” is getting a lot of buzz from the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) as well as at the Golden Globes.

“Fences” is also a frontrunner but the highly-publicized “La La Land” is slowly getting behind these two films so many are wondering if the Emma Stone-Ryan Gosling flick will be making it big at the Oscars next year. “Fences” might be getting a lot of nominations at the Oscars as the Denzel Washington-led flick, alongside Viola Davis, is said to be a great movie because it would promote diversity at the Oscars. “Hacksaw Ridge” is also rumored to land some nominations as it is a Mel Gibson comeback flick. The actor directed the movie and the war-inspired flick stars Andrew Garfield.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt’s “Passengers” might also gather nominations for the Oscars as well as “Moonlight.” “Moonlight” garnered a lot of nominations at the Golden Globes and just like “Fences,” it would be an interesting flick to be part of the Awards season since it promotes diversity.

“Live By Night,” which stars Ben Affleck as well as Disney’s “Moana” are also rumored to make it big at the Oscars next year. Although “La La Land” is still one of the top films being talked about, it is believed that it might not get as many nominations as it could in the Oscars because of “Moonlight,” “Fences,” and “Manchester by the Sea.”

“Manchester by the Sea” received a lot of nominations for the 2017 SAG Awards. The flick was nominated for Best Ensemble Cast, Best Actor for Casey Affleck, and best supporting performances, both for the male and female category. “La La Land” was nominated only for the leads Stone and Gosling. “Captain Fantastic” was also a shocker as it received nominations as well.

SAG Awards will be aired live on TNT and TBS on January 29. The Oscar nominations announcement will be coming soon.
