Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Former NBA player Lamar Odom just got out of the rehabilitation center and reports have surfaced claiming that he told Tristan Thompson, the new man in Khloe Kardashian’s life, that he is just a place holder and that he intends to take his ex-wife back in his life.
Odom is a former Los Angeles Lakers player while Thompson is a current Cleveland Cavaliers player. An insider said, "Lam needs TT to know how madly in love he still is with Khloe and wants Tristan to understand that he and Khloe have unfinished business. Lam doesn't want to disrespect what they have, but he thinks Tristan is just like James Harden and French Montana – a place holder in her life for when he returns."
Thompson is said to be very pissed and furious about the statement of Odom regarding wanting to have Kardashian back when he appeared on “The Doctors.” However, an insider said that this is no longer the time that Kardashian would have died with delight to hear such words from Odom. However, now that Kardashian is in a happy relationship, she feels like Odom never got his act together and that time has already passed. A source close to Thompson added that he will do anything to protect her from Odom.
The relationship of Odom and Kardashian seemed to have hit rock bottom after his October 2015 near-death experience. He was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel and Kardashian had to postpone the divorce proceedings regarding their marriage. Odom underwent therapy after the health scare and was able to get back to his feet but he seemed to have gotten back to his old ways as he was spotted partying and drinking late last year.
He checked into a rehabilitation center in December and recently completed the stint this January. The divorce was finalized last year and Kardashian has not yet commented on the reports about Odom wanting to get her back.
