Calabasas, CA, United States (4E) – Lamar Odom’s health continues to improve after his apparent drug overdose in Las Vegas last year and accordingly, Khloe Kardashian plays a vital role as she even leased a home next to hers so she can keep a close eye on her estranged husband.
According to reports, the two are not living together but Kardashian is spending a lot of time with him as she helps the former NBA player to recover from his health scare. Odom was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel in October and has been in a coma for three days after the incident. He has had numerous strokes while was in a coma and had organ failures, which resulted to greatly affecting his speech and mobility.
A source shared, "He is doing so much better. His speech has improved dramatically. He still has a way to go, but his progress over the past month has been great." The insider added that Kardashian and Odom are very close as of the moment and that whenever he is not in therapy, he spends a lot of time with his estranged wife. Accordingly, they even try to have dinner together every night.
Just recently, Kourtney Kardashian , Khloe’s sister, appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and they FaceTimed as they talked about Odom. Khloe said, "He's hung out with Kourt's and [Kim Kardashian ]'s kids. He loves family time. So, he's been doing really good. I think it makes him feel good to be around everyone, too, and to just be in a happy environment over obviously where he was." Khloe also shared that Odom’s long term memory is getting better but his short term memory is still a challenge.
The two, however, are not in a romantic relationship as Khloe reportedly just really wants to be there for Odom but would still push through with their divorce. The divorce process came to a halt shortly after the October incident involving Odom and Khloe said it was the right thing to do.
