Lena Dunham hospitalized after Met Gala attendance

New York City, NY, United States (4E) – Lena Dunham was reportedly hospitalized after attending the Met Gala this year but the reason behind her medical emergency was not undisclosed.
The “Girls” actress did not attend the after party as she was rushed to a hospital in New York City. Reports claimed that her medical emergency had something to do with a pre-existing condition. A rep added, “She’s at home resting and doing well. As you know, she’s very public about her battles with endometriosis.”
Dunham revealed about her battle with the chronic disorder years back and in April, after her fifth surgery, she said she was free from the illness. However, although she believed she was disease-free, there were chances that endometriosis could return in her system. She said, “That doesn’t mean it can never return, but for now, once my sutures have been removed and my bruises have changed from blue to yellow to green to gone, I will be healthy.”
During this year’s Met Gala, Dunham wore a Elizabeth Kennedy creation. It was a one-shoulder checker-patterned dress.
Prior to the event, Dunham also posted photos of her preparation. The 30-year-old snapped photos of herself preparing for the big evening. She also made news during the red carpet attendance after she photobombed DNCE frontman, Joe Jonas, who was wearing a red checkered suit, too.
