Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Liam Payne was asked recently about what he thinks of Harry Styles’ new songs and he did not hold anything back as he said it is not his kind of music.

Payne and Styles have worked together in the past for a number of years as they were part of One Direction. Payne dropped by Music Choice and when asked about Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands,” he said that it was a cool and great track. However, when he was asked about Styles’ “Sign of Times” and other songs from his first solo album, Payne said, "I'll be honest with you, it's not my sort of music. It's not something I'd listen to, but I think he did a great job of doing what he wanted to do. That's the way I'd put it best, I think."

The boyfriend of Cheryl Cole added that the funny thing is that Styles would probably say the same thing about his music because Styles does not listen to hip-hop.

More on Styles, he said that his album was like therapy and he wants people to go through the therapy with him when they listen to his songs.

More on Payne, he and Cole just welcomed their first child last March after dating for more than a year. Payne said Cole almost broke things off but he clung on to their relationship. His new solo album will also have a track referencing Cole told him her worries about their relationship.

He shared in a recent interview, “There’s one song that is basically a phone call that happened between me and her when she was about to let it go. This is a long time ago. And it’s basically me trying to cling on and say: ‘No, no, no it’s all going to work out — don’t worry about it, give it time.’”
