Manhattan, NY, United States (4E) – Madonna and Guy Ritchie have finally come up with a settlement deal regarding their son, Rocco Ritchie.

The two have been fighting over who should have custody over their 16-year-old son, who left Madonna last year and went to live with his father and step-mother in London, for nine months before it was settled. Although there has been a settlement, details about which parent should Rocco live with has not been released to the public yet.

The settlement has been confirmed via New York Supreme Court documents. However, for the settlement, the pop icon and the filmmaker did not appear in court.

The legal battle started last December 2015 when Rocco quit traveling with his mother while on her Rebel Heart Tour. He was ordered to be back in the U.S. on December 23 but he declined to do so.

On March 2 this year, a New York judge ruled that Rocco should stay in the U.K. with his father since he is attending school. The judge also ordered the parents of Rocco to settle the legal battle out of court and away from the media. The judge also believed that the ex-couple should stop putting pressure on their son.

Madonna has been posting photos of her and Rocco on social media and is pleading her son to come home and reconcile with her. In a March 2016 performance, she dedicated “La Vie en Rose” to Rocco. She said during the emotional performance that she hopes her son would listen and know that she misses him so much.

Madonna has three more children, 19-year-old Lourdes Leon, 10-year-old David Banda , and nine-year-old Mercy James. Guy and Madonna divorced in 2008. Guy is now married to Jacqui Ainsley , with whom he has three children.

Just recently, Madonna took to Instagram to post photos of David Band and Mercy James. The two just attended their first day of school for this school year.

Madonna and Guy are yet to comment on the details of their settlement.
