Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Madonna broke her silence about her son Rocco Ritchie being arrested for weed possession back in September noting that she loves her son very much despite not winning the custody battle with her former husband, Guy Ritchie.
Madonna and Guy have been battling over who will have the right over Rocco after he left the United States in 2015 to live with his father in London. Madonna called the arrest of Rocco has a family matter adding, "I love my son very much. I will do whatever I can to give him the support that he needs, and I ask that you respect our privacy at this time."
The arrest of Rocco was exposed only two months after it took place. Accordingly, Rocco was arrested for possession of weed following a stop and search by police officers after neighbors reportedly called the cops on him as they were bothered by what they believed was drug use in their neighborhood. Rocco was said to be with a friend and they were sitting on the wall. They then tossed something in the air and officials only found a small quantity of weed in his backpack and in his clothing.
After he was found in possession of weed, he was taken to a north London police station and was bailed and dealt with by Camden borough's Youth Offending Team. Rocco was said to have been punished via Triage. Triage uses multiple elements to engage and educate the youth in order to prevent the teen from re-offending.
Photos showing Rocco being apprehended by officials surfaced online on Thursday. In the photos, a male was seen wearing a white hoodie but it has not been confirmed yet if it really was Rocco since the boy’s face was not seen.
