New York City, NY, United States (4E) – Madonna took to Instagram to say that she is missing her son, Rocco John Ritchie, who is not with her as she and former husband, Guy Ritchie, are having a custody battle over him.
Th3 57-year-old mother of four has been fighting to have her partial guardianship be maintained over the 15-year-old. Guy and Madonna have divorced back in 2008 and the legal battle started when Rocco refused to return to the United States after he went to live with his father in London.
A New York Supreme Court judge has ruled at that time that the teenager should return to his mother but Guy’s lawyer claimed that the teenager did not want to come back. The judge then suggested that the teen should engage with his mother regarding his concerns as to why he does not want to go back to the United States.
However, Madonna’s attempts to reach out to her son have been unsuccessful. Rocco has blocked his mother on Instagram and also deleted his account. Madonna has been posting photos of Rocco in the past every week to try and reach him. The latest photo uploaded on her Instagram account was posted earlier this week wherein Rocco is seen wearing a floral necklace and his curly hair surrounding the edges of his face. She wrote on the caption: "I miss this boy so full of life so full of love! I hope we see that Leo Sun soon. The light is blinding!"
Last week, she uploaded a throwback photo of Rocco showing him as a baby. The caption reads “Tu me manqué ,” which is French for “I miss you.”
The singer’s wish to see her son might come true soon as Madonna and Guy will be back at New York Supreme Court for another hearing this March 2.
